This is my second collection of unreleased songs, demos, collaborations, and singles spanning 2004-2008. This compilation was released on limited-edition CD (450 copies, no digital version) in July of 2008.

I had not intended to ever let this see a digital release, and wanted to keep it as a snapshot/artifact of that time for the folks who bought one at a show or from the MilledPavement Records site. A lot has changed since the years these songs were made, in the world, in my life/philosophy, and in my music. That is, some of the verbiage, themes, and (in some cases), sound/take quality that I let fly on this compilation would not be tolerated in the present day.

In light of my March 2020 tour being cut short, and booking cancellations looming for the next 2 months (at least) due to The Coming Plague, I decided now would be a reasonable time to release this project as a Bandcamp exclusive. This has not been polished or edited, and exists exactly as the original release and track-list was presented.

My opinion would be a bit alternative, I suppose, coming from a hardcore Doom fan. What I like in this kind of dark hip-hop, is the lurking anxiety, the blurred soundscapes where landmarks dissolve. the world is a incomprehensible place to be and musics like this, as doom metal, with similar gears: heaviness, repetitiveness, hypnotic sounds, ominous drones, are pointing the perfect absurdity of it.
